I gave up on writing for this blog because I joined a wonderful team that built from scratch a guide for climbing in Romania. We want to cover all routes and areas of climbing.

Climbing in Piatra Craiului

Piatra Craiului is an atypical massif, situated between Bucegi and Fagaras Mountains. It is a bright white limestone massif surrounded by conglomerate and crystalline schists.

Turda Gorge climbing area

The protected are of Turda Gorge [Cheile Turzii] is located in the N-W Romania, in Cluj County, close to Turda city.

Bicaz Gorge climbing area

Bicaz Gorge [Cheile Bicazului] is situated in N-E of Romania, in Hasmas Mountains, being considered one of the most beautiful touristical gorges in the country

Costila climbing area

Costila Peak is situated in Bucegi Mountains, in the south of Romania. With an altitude of 2490m, it is the 4th highest peak in Bucegi and one of the most atractive to climbers, as it is guarded by rock walls.
